Weight Management With Hypnosis: This program is designed for people whose weight problem is a result of overeating and poor nutritional habits. If you are overweight because you eat too much, your problem is not metabolic; it's most likely in your mind, your subconscious mind. There are many diets on the market today, and most of them work in the short run. Perhaps you've lost weight in the past with lots of conscious effort. But, once you've reached your goal, you stopped dieting and the weight returned because your subconscious mind took control again. You start to eat again with the same habits that made you overweight to begin with. And so, the cycle continues, until the next fad diet hits the market. Permanent change in your unconscious mind will help maintain permanent lifestyle changes that will support your weight goal automatically and without discomfort. It makes sense to understand the reasons that are causing your weight problem. Some Common Reasons For Overeating: 1. You eat to reward or entertain yourself. As children we are rewarded with food for our accomplishments. A child gets a cookie for picking up his room. You get dessert "for cleaning off your plate". Later on we might have been rewarded with food for getting good grades in school. As adults we celebrate many things such as birthdays and anniversaries by going out to dinner. In business we treat clients to lunch or dinner. 2. You eat to fill a void. Food often times substitutes the need for love and affiliation. Home alone, feeling lonely and disconnected? Eating a pint of ice cream and a bag of chips is often used to fix the psychological cravings. 3. You eat to relieve stress and anxiety. I've heard many people tell me, "I eat because of stress, eating makes me less tense." If this is you, it's important to understand what's driving the stress and anxiety and seek positive alternative ways for relief instead of eating poorly. 4. You eat to maintain health. You may have grown up with the notion that thin is unhealthy. "You need some meat on those bones" lead you to believe that skinny is sickly. Often the parental messages we receive as children are still played out in our adult life through our subconscious mind. You may need to change the message. Creating New Options: Once you have discovered the reasons for your overeating or eating poorly, you can begin to change your behavior patterns with well thought out substitutions that really appeal to you. Things that you will do that are satisfying to. This is what you will commit yourself to doing during hypnosis. You will create new options for old unhealthy habits. The new options will make sense to you. The Plan: 1. Decide on your weight goal objective. 2. Maintain the weight loss. 3. Incorporate new habits into your life. Hypnosis: Hypnotherapy will help you think, feel and act in positive new ways by reprogramming your subconscious mind with logical and realistic suggestions. It will help give less importance to food as it relates to your feeling of well-being. 1. It will build up your confidence and self-esteem to accept a thinner self. 2. It will increase your appeal of healthy foods. 3. It will incorporate into your life new patterns of eating. Your Commitment To Your Weight Loss Program: You are responsible for the success of this program. It includes listening to a reinforcement tape daily. For best results, listen to your tape every day until you reach your goal weight. For maintenance, use the tape weekly or as your intuition guides you. The reinforcement tape is included in the session fee. |
