Improve Sports Performance With Hypnosis This program is designed to improve your performance in your chosen sport, by improving the mental aspect of the game. Whether you are a youngster or an adult, amateur or elite, you can benefit and perform to your optimal potential using these techniques. This program will help the athlete to: -Relax and reduce tension -maintain concentration. -sharpen focus. -trust in his/her abilities -discard negative "self-talk" -build confidence -play in the "Zone" At all levels, athletes are discovering the benefits of enhancing performance by improving the mental aspects of their game Mind-Body Relaxation - By learning this technique the athlete is able to focus and concentrative on the game. He/She is able to release unwanted muscle tension and conserve as well as focus that energy where it needs to be, at the time it is required. Positive Mental Imagery - This is used by the athlete to see himself perform and execute his skill in his mind prior to his event. To see it in his mind's eye being done perfectly. " To see it, is to be it". "Feelization" - This skill allows the athlete to acquire the feeling for the game...to feel the power and grace of the swing, or the explosive feeling of coming off the starting block, the rhyme of a diver and the flow of a perfect tennis serve. Positive "Self-talk" - This is a skill that is developed to prevent the athlete from "tanking" and to aid in maintaining "mental toughness" during slumps. Auditory Anchors - By using all the sound around him, the athlete correlates or associates these sounds to positive feeling and enhanced performance. - the ripping sound of a Velcro glove to signal a good putt and the unmistakable sound as the ball falls into the cup - the sound of a whistle signaling the start of a game or match - the sound of the buzzer or the firing of a starters pistol - the sound of applause and the crowd cheering - the sound of "great shot" All the sounds previously taken for granted now take on a new meaning and become aids to your performance, to help you gain the edge and seek your optimal potential. All this becomes possible through the use of hypnosis and the techniques that are employed. Finally, I am very proud of my affiliation with Dr. Robert Reese with whom I trained and became certified in sports hypnosis. Dr. Reese served as the head trainer for the N.Y. Jets for over 20 years as well as working privately with Olympic athletes and professional athletes individually using the same techniques mentioned here.
